Park Adventure

A week or so ago on Eric's day off (he doesn't go to school on Thursdays), we set off to find a new park. I had seen signs for a certain park not too terribly far from our house, so I thought I would turn down that way and venture towards it.

It wasn't so much a park as a lake. Sort of a deserted lake/boating area. There was a kind lady at the gate that said there was playground equipment inside. She gave me a free day pass and let me drive/wander about. It was rather big and you could tell that it was probably quite busy in the summer. Since school is in session...not so much.

Anywho, we drove around a bit. I didn't see much for playground equipment 'cept for some ancient swings. However, it was a gorgeous day and we had fun swinging, exploring the "wooded" like area and checking out the water. It just felt so good to hang outside without it being 900 degrees!
