Mr. Breakfast

One recent morning, Eric was up early (what? the kid hasn't slept past 6:00 a.m. his entire life, I swear...only now we make him stay in his room until 7:00!) Anyway, 7:01, Eric is downstairs, he hangs out with Daddy for a bit, who then leaves for work. I was laying in bed half-conscious due to being up in the middle of the night with Sweets. Eric is ready for breakfast (mind you, I can hear everything going on, as our bedroom door is just across the family room from the kitchen). Eric proceeds to get his breakfast "gear" ready. I can hear things like "plate. check. cup. check. spoon. check." Eventually, he comes in and tells me he is ready to eat. This is what I walk out to, I'm not kidding. I didn't change a thing. (I didn't get much of it in the picture, but note the newspaper on the left hand side. Gotta have the morning news with breakfast!)



Just add cereal, milk and juice! What a funny kid. Sometimes the "I have to do everything myself" stage is a good thing! (Not to mention breakfast is his best meal.)
