Back when we were expecting Elyse, we shopped for new bedroom furniture for Eric, as Elyse would be inheriting his crib and changing table ensemble. We bought a bed frame, dresser and night stand. The set also included a desk, but we decided against buying it at the time we bought the other three pieces. Well, we recently decided to go ahead and purchase the desk for a few reasons. He will start having more school work in the coming years and, since we had a matching set, we didn't want to miss out on the desk being discontinued.
Eric was so excited when we told him we were going to get the desk to go with his set. He said that once he had a desk, he would probably need a computer to go on it. Ha! Funny kid! No computer, but he loves his new desk. Here he is writing in his "journal", just like the character in some of his favorite books, Junie B. Jones. (The desk didn't come with a chair, but this one that my parents had refinished for me for another desk works pretty well for now).
