I have a drawer for each of the kids in the hutch by the kitchen table with a few art supplies, coloring books, etc. We have more "stuff", but this is close at hand and easily accessible to the kids whenever they want to "create". Elyse, who is normally into everything of everybody's, has recently been very good about opening her own drawer, taking out her own (washable) crayons and a book and taking them to the table to color. She also seems to understand (since I discovered she was coloring the back of her high chair!) that the colors stay on the table. Other than that, her creativity is unlimited!!
