Eric sat down and was ready to roll. I explained to him that the people that sent him presents love him and spent time shopping and picking out things that they thought he would like. He told me that he liked to write thank you cards. Then he told me that the gifts he got made him feel like there was love inside his heart. He had his eyes closed and his hand on his heart for that last part. It was so sweet and sincere! I felt the tears coming so I had to get up from the table so I quick posted a note on Facebook so I wouldn't forget what he said. He did such a good job with no assistance (except to confirm a few spellings). I love my sweet boy!
We had a nice day of doing a whole lot of nothing. We did have to run out to the grocery store in the afternoon so I could get the items I needed to make cold weather comfort food. Chili and cornbread. Yum! I wanted to get a picture of the kids together in their "heavy" sweaters. We don't wear them often down here! Also, Eric's is passed on from his cousins and Elyse's used to be Eric's! Unfortunately, Elyse wasn't cooperating for the photo of the two of them, but I got some others.
See?
Our new pets! They're genius. They move around and make cute noises...but they don't shed, eat, pee or poop!
Diapers are for jumping off of (again with the jumping...and I can't believe my little point and shoot camera caught this action shot!)
Eric's baby blues are soooo sensitive to light, so as I was trying to get a "nice" smile, he was in agony waiting for the picture to be taken!
What?! I'm not hiding anything!
We had a nice day of playing, cozy sweaters, zhu zhu pets, jumping, hot chocolate, grocery shopping(!) and chili and cornbread. Back to school tomorrow!!
