Southern Disclosures: Halloween

Halloween was a busy and fun day! (I know, it took me long enough...but it's not Thanksgiving yet!) Eric had a party at school, so we got him all costumed up for school. Elyse and I then ran (well, drove really) to the grocery store to pick up and take back to school some cookies the kids were to decorate during their party day. Then Elyse and I headed to our Strollerfit class for Halloween themed class followed by picture taking of the adorable babies in their adorable costumes.

After picking Eric up from school, we headed to Ross' office for a party and trick or treating. They had a portion of the office decorated like the game Candy Land. It was really cute. After some Halloween activities, costume parade and prizes and snacks, trick or treating ensued around the office. I'm sure the worker bees enjoyed the break from the doldrums of a day job!

After some slow-going traffic on the way home (everyone leaves work early on Halloween to get home to trick or treat!) we had a quick dinner. Ross and Eric hit the neighborhood (after emptying the trick or treat bag from the previous activities, of course) and I stayed home to put sweet Elyse to bed and pass out candy.

For the record, Eric wanted to be Buzz Lightyear for the 3rd year in a row. The costume is now a bit tight, so we suggested being a "rock star" after he couldn't come up with anything else he wanted to be. It worked out well, as he was dressed in it pretty much all day. Eric had a Halloween blast and Elyse took it all in with wonder in her eyes. Mom and Dad had fun watching them enjoy it!
