Our baby boy lost his first tooth! Okay, so he's not a baby anymore, but it sure seems like not that long ago that he got that first tooth! I was a little concerned that he lost one already, but then again, he got his first tooth at a little over 4 months old.
I noticed one night while helping Eric floss that his two front bottom teeth were loose....one more so than the other. The tooth fairy thought she still had a little time to get it together. However, Saturday morning (November 8), while eating a pumpkin scone, out came the tooth! Fortunately, that crafty tooth fairy was able to pull it together on short notice and leave Eric some special loot for that first tooth!
She left some new cleaning supplies (a new toothbrush, new toothpaste and some fluoride rinse), a "twinkle toof" which is a glow-in-the-dark tooth shaped box to put his lost teeth in for the tooth fairy (this time, it was a plastic sandwich bag!), a letter from the tooth fairy and of course, cold, hard cash. She's generous with the first tooth - it's a big deal. The rest of the teeth won't be worth quite as much!

That is VERY exciting! The tooth fairy did a good job! It probably won't be long before the next ones falls out!
