Introducing...

...our new family member.



Swimmy. Way back during Eric's 3 year-old preschool, we took care of a similar fish during Christmas break. Eric's teacher at the time mentioned that he really showed an interest in the fish, which is why she asked if we wanted to care for it during the break. Since then, Eric has wanted to get a fish, and has always said he would name it Swimmy. Well, I don't know what took us so long, but after a fun morning of patiently waiting for me to get a new driver license, I thought it was high time to get Eric his Swimmy! He is pretty excited...Elyse likes him too!

I wish I would have had my camera in the pet store. The kids had to check out the kitty-cats first. They both LOVE cats. After a few minutes, I suggested we go look at the fish. Eric took Elyse by the hand and said "come on, Sweets, let's go look at the fish now". He gently led her away and held her hand the whole time. She was more than happy to see where her big brother was taking her! (I, on the other hand, wouldn't have gotten away with leading her away like that). Anyway, it was SO CUTE! Love it.
